FILM REVIEW: AFTER

FILM REVIEW: AFTER

I really liked the first movie inspired by Anna Todd’s books, After. I have been a fan of the After books since the day one and, despite the negativities said over and over again, I remain in love with these books and films.
I liked changes in the movie even though, to be honest, I would have preferred to see everything (or almost everything) written in the book on screen. Of course I know very well that it was practically impossible! 🙈

For example, I would liked to see the scene about everyone talked with controversy because I believe that part was fundamental to the whole subsequent story; so…no, I did not
completely agree with the choice to change the scene even though I understand the reason.
I like the choice to put the two protagonists in the foreground, but I didn’t completly agree to obscuring the other characters especially because I believe that the other characters are still important as the Hessa’s love story.
What about the actors, then? I loved Hero Fiennes Tiffin in the role of Hardin so much because he managed to give to the character not only the dark side but he also managed to be sweet, and this is thanks above all to his pretty face! He’s perfect, I mean! 😍 How perfect is Josephine Langford in the role of Tessa and in many moments, I have to be honest, she seemed completely comfortable with her character and was actually playing herself!
Molly, played by Inanna Sarkis, managed to be hated just like the character in the book and therefore the actress was very very good in the role of her! As for Zed, payed by Samuel Larsen; in my opinion, he deserved to have more space in the film and I missed the love triangle between Hardin, Tessa and Zed!
I conclude the review saying that I like this movie and I propose you to seen in company of your friends or your boyfriend!
