
- Katie Douglas as Lisa Mcvery is really exceptional; I remember seeing her in some other movie and obviously I wasn’t wrong! She’s in the cast of Ginny&Georgia but believe me when I tell you that in the series I hardly noticed her. Of course, we are talking about two completely different genres and themes but seeing an actress as young as she is, engaging in such an important and extremely delicate role, made me appreciate her more.
- The scenes that I preferred the most on an interpretative level were those in which the serial killer Bobby Joe Long, played by Rossif Sutherland, enters a sort of “inner crisis” in the exact moment when the young Lisa, manipulating him, tries to enter in his mind by helping him to believe in the best part of himself locked up somewhere, and to change his mind about women. - Believe me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey is definitely a dark film; it’s a true story that makes you live the fear, the anguish, the pain of Lisa Mcveny but it is also a story of courage and victory. A movie that I absolutely advise you to watch carefully, reminding you that even today, unfortunately, another Lisa or another Virginia or another Kim is struggling to survive with courage.
