- For those who don’t know, the series Dynasty that you find on Netflix is the reboot of the 1981 soap opera. I haven’t seen the original, so I will only talk about the one on Netflix.
- This TV series was produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, both of whom have worked on two well-known TV series: Gossip Girl and The O.C.! Indeed, Fallon Carrington and Blair Waldorf, in my opinion, have a lot in common; they are both very determined, ambitious and love to be the center of attention. Unfortunately, we don’t have the pleasure of seeing a real Chuck Bass or a Nate Archibald but, honestly, we can settle for a Liam Ridley or a Michael Culhane! … As long as they don’t start acting! 👀
- Onestly, I didn’t appreciate all the actors in the series but Elizabeth Gillies, Grant Show and Rafael de la Fuente (Fallon, Blake and Sam) have represented a perfect trio of what I like to find in the characters of the TV series that I watch: sympathy, malice, avarice, good heart, fragility, pride and above all A TRUE HISTORY.
- Dynasty is more current than you think. There are references to the LGBT world; delicate is the presence of the”emancipation” towards a social class considered inferior to its own; but above all there is the celebration of love, despite everything. The love that Fallon Carrington feels for her two men who will appear and disappear from her life; the love for herself, which she will learn to celebrate day after day, with many low but as many high. That’s why I love this character so much and that’s why I recommend you to watch this series. 🖤
